Skaidi Music was formerly called Showtime Records. The first artist to sign with the Showtime label was Heidi Hauge, who mostly sang at a local pub called Gimle in Skien almost every weekend. Heidi signed a contract with Showtime Records in 2000 and quickly became Scandinavia’s biggest country music star. There were Gold and Platinum records on all Heidi releases in the period 2000-2004.
Showtime Records then signed Liv Marit Wedvik in 2002, also she from Skien. Liv Marit became a huge success right away and sold to Platinum on the first release “Then He Kissed Me”. This album was followed up with the Pop / Country album “Hitchin` A Ride” which also sold to Gold. In 2004 came the third and final album with Liv Marit, the title “Whatever You Say”. Liv Marit died tragically in a drowning accident in Risør on May 22, 2015.
Showtime Records also released “I`ll Be Back”, a country album with the Swedish artist Angela Lidin.And otherwise, Showtime Records released Cato Sanden’s latest album titled “Cross My Heart” in 2002. There were also some releases with Hjerterknekt, Jetsurfers, Werner Milland and Arly Karlsen.
Showtime Records also released two albums with the Norwegian dance band queen Jenny Jenssen who was an established artist. Both “Pinadø” and “Blue Rose” sell to gold.
